Our Story

How it all started...

CFC has an amazing story of God’s blessings. Our roots go back to 2003 when Pastor Jeff began a Bible study at a Comfort Inn meeting room in Okemos.

On Easter Sunday in 2004, Kingdom Family Church (K.F.C.) launched its first Sunday morning service at that same Comfort Inn.

In December of 2004, K.F.C. began renting two storefronts in Holt right behind our current facility. After renovating the space, services began in January 2005.

Due to confusion in the community that K.F.C. was affiliated with Jehovah's Witness, because of "Kingdom" in the name, the Elders and church family decided to rename the church, Community Faith Church, in 2010.

Expanding the vision...

In 2012, by a miracle of God we purchased our current facility for only $150k.  After nearly a year and just over $200k of renovations, CFC’s home was ready to move in.  At that time there were around 50 members at CFC.  Today it takes nearly that many volunteers just to do worship service each Sunday!

Where we are headed...

It’s an exciting time at CFC!  Our leadership team has developed a deep core value of legacy and inheritance.  We recognize the plan of God to raise up young leaders and pass the baton of ministry and community to the next generation!  It’s enjoyable to see the influx of styles and smiles while the principles of scripture remain uncompromised. We invite you to be part of God's story and invest your fingerprints in the present and the future!  Watch God change your life as He uses you to change other’s lives too.
